What is Behavior Kinesiology?

Behavior Kinesiology is the study of behavior change through monitoring muscle strength response in relation to different internal and external stimuli. Did you know muscles turn on and off in response to different stressors?

In the 1960’s Dr. George Goodheart, Chiropractor, founded a pioneer modality called Applied Kinesiology after discovering the relationship between muscle strength and specific reflex points on the body. This research led to the integration of manual muscle testing, as a binary neurological indicator, and acupuncture principles resulting in the organ/muscle/emotion connection.

Current research is now showing the importance of the enteric nervous system. Remember, there are neurons in your gut too. In fact, 95% of the body’s serotonin (the feel good hormone) is found in the intestines.

Incorporating Nervous System Regulation protocols along with goal setting and reframing techniques, Behavior Kinesiology is an amagalm of the most effective, efficient, and easy to apply techniques from modern kinesiology, neuroscience, and success coaching.

The most powerful techniques from the fields of Applied Kinesiology, Neuro Linguistic Programming, acupuncture, chiropractic, osteopathic, and psycho-somatics.
Behavior Kinesiology uses manual muscle testing to detect weaknesses and compensations, specific reflexes on the body are stimulated to restore balance to weak inhibited muscles so over facilitated muscles can return to a normal state. This eliminates compensation patterns, re-establishes proper muscle firing, and honors the body's natural ability to attain homeostasis.

Our autonomic nervous system & subconscious mind function by instinctual or learned responses and the conscious mind is the commander of the ship!
Through the process of neoroplasticity (brain wiring) & epigenetics (influence over gene expression) we can literally re-write our life!
As a collective of 3 trillion cells with learned skills, habits, beliefs & core values, who we are depends on how we've trained our self to be. By modeling successful traits of others while honoring your own unique qualities, a better life is possible.

Triad of Health

Muscle, bone, diet, hormones, toxins, emotions or thoughts, health depends on the whole.
No part of the body or mind works alone.
We must strengthen any weak area in order to avoid pain and compensation in others.
Fact: Prolonged compensation becomes destruction.

Reciprocal Inhibition

When a muscle contracts it inhibits the opposing muscle.
This is called Reciprocal Inhibition
Compensation Patterns are a result of Muscle Inhibition

Research shows that muscle strength is influenced by our stress response to emotions, chemicals, electrical and structural factors. Kinesiology aims at reprogramming the stress response through various reflex systems of the body.

Every muscle has an organ relationship, for example:

quadriceps relate to the small intestines, or neck flexors relate to the stomach. Ancient Asian medical theories reveal that our organs house our emotions/feelings. We feel a broken heart in our actual heart or we feel grief in our lungs as we sigh.

We literally feel specific emotions in specific muscles.

With Kinesiology we can access the subconscious emotional reaction locked in the muscle's memory and help re-pattern the response through the acupuncture system along with other neurological reflexes. This not only improves muscle function but also alleviates undesirable reactions to stress that manifest in the body.

Health Benefits of Kinesiology :

  • Enhance learning

  • Boost sports performance

  • Eliminate emotional, physical and mental stress

  • Help with finances and decision making

  • Pin-point and eliminate allergic reactions (IMRs)

  • Help overcome past trauma

  • Identify nutritional deficiency or excess

  • Help overcome fears and phobias

  • Aid the healing of muscle injuries
